To featured the products more appropriately on the website you have to add more categories in OpenCart. Following are the steps for adding product categories in OpenCart :

• Login to your OpenCart account.
• Navigate to the section – Catalog and select Categories.
• From the upper right corner click on the ‘Insert’ option .
• In the ‘General tab’, enter the fields of your new category (you will make changes in this section whenever you want). The foremost necessary field is the ‘Category Name’.
• Click on the ‘Data’ tab and enter the fields that you need to fill. All these fields are optional.
• Click on the ‘Design’ tab and from the drop down menu select the appropriate option. This is optional as well.
• Once you have done configured all the options, click on ‘Save’.
