Microsoft Frontpage Extension
Microsoft Frontpage is a simple application designed and developed for people who doesn’t recognize any programming languages to developed interactive web content. Simply upload your web page on your hosting account and click on on the button “Publish FrontPage Web” to load web pages. To with success upload and edit your web page you initially have to install FrontPage extensions on your account. So, remember one factor to activate FrontPage extensions on the web page before uploading web page you would need to activate FrontPage extensions.
Where Frontpage Extension is located?
When you log in to your hosting account Customer’s area click on the icon “Manage accounts.”
Choose the account and click on on the button “Manage” you’ll see a list of control functions please search for “Access my cPanel to manage accounts” and made a click over the button.
Please Enter the Username and Password of your cPanel and once its gets done successfully you see the FrontPage extensions icon in the middle of the screen please click on that.
Uploading webpages through FrontPage software need Username and Password. Note that the login details for uploading the pages should be similar as your login details for the cPanel of your hosting account.
You can simply upload FrontPage web pages on the sub domain/s, If you have got a sub domain however you will have to activate FrontPage extensions for every sub domain separately.
How to activate Frontpage extensions?
You can see warning message with the following text after you click on the Frontpage extension.
The warning message will appear as if, You DO NOT install FrontPage Extensions on your account unless you plan to publish your site directly from the FrontPage application. If all extension gets uninstall from the main domain it will also uninstall extension from your all your sub domains and from ad don domains also.Your all .htaccess files in your web root (public_html) will also gets remove.
Confirm whether that FrontPage extensions are installed or not installed. Click on the “Install Extensions” button to install it and in case if the FrontPage extensions are already installed or there is an error until the installation, please uninstall it and then click on the “Clean Up Old Extensions” button, after that you can install it again. It is highly suggested you to clean up the old extensions since The FrontPage extensions are very ‘sensitive’ and even the slightest permission change can make them not working.
Remember that During the installation of FrontPage extensions you do not need Username and Password, but the uploading through FrontPage will require Username and Password.
