How to change MySQL root password from WHM?

In this tutorial, you will understand the steps to change the root password of MySQL server from WHM. This tutorial is only applicable to Linux VPS and Dedicated server customers.

1. With root user Login to WHM.
2. Under SQL Services category. Locate and select MySQL Root Password option.
3. At next screen, you’ll have to enter new MySQL root password.

If you enter the password manually, confirm you use a combination of letters (upper and lower case), numbers and special characters. As you enter the new password within the box, Strength indicator can indicate however strong your password is. As an alternative, you’ll be able to use the password generator to form a powerful and random password.

4. Write down the new password in safe place to use futher, click on the Change Password button. Upon successful password change, you will receive a screen stating your new password.
