What is a public_html Folder?

The web root for your primary domain name is known as the public_html folder.

Once someone types your main domain (the one provided while signing up for hosting), the public_html folder contains of all web site files that you wish to be displayed.

Or in alternative words, once visitors type your domain name into their browser, no matter is within the public_html folder can get displayed to them.

Where to search out this Folder?

You can find the public_html folder within your File Manager in your cPanel.

Examples

For example, if the file named as index.html is present within the public_html folder, it’ll get displayed once your web site is browsed.

In case there isn’t a default file into the public_html folder (such as index.html, default.html, etc.), then a list of files within the public_html folder are displayed.
