Learn to Install Moodle on Subdomain

In this tutorial we guide you to install Moodle on your subdomain.

Suppose you have got a domain named example.com and need to install Moodle on the subdomain “http://abc.example.com“.

You will have to be first create a subdomain “abc”. This can be done as below:

As root admin login to your cPanel account.

Navigate to Domains section and click on Subdomains. By clicking on Create button Create a subdomain “abc”.

After creating a subdomain you will receive a message for success.

Then navigate to cPanel dashboard in that go to Software and select Softaculous.

Search for Moodle within the search bar at the top left-side corner and click on it. You may see the Moodle installation dashboard.

For installation click on the Install Now

Under Software Setup, got to Choose Installation URL and to select your subdomain click on on the drop-down menu . Make sure you put in writing the password. Then at the bottom click on Install button.

Once the installation is finished you may have to be need to access the files using File Manager of cPanel or an FTP client. Here look for the config.php file to be placed at /public_html/abc/config.php.
