Learn to Establish an FTP Connection to Your Hosting Account

You will need your FTP login details, if you want to connect your hosting account. To get your FTP login details navigate to your Client Area then go to My Accounts at the Information & Settings page. Your main FTP login details will be same as your cPanel username and password.

You will required the below details:

  • FTP Hostname – It is the hosting server name.
  • FTP Username – Your cPanel username and main FTP username are the same.
  • FTP Password – Use your cPanel password.
  • The FTP port – The FTP port is by default set to 21.

Under FTP Accounts, new FTP users can also be created in cPanel.
