How To Import The Existing SSH Key In WHM?

In this article you will understant how to accessing your account through SSH by the process of adding an existing SSH key to WHM .You will need to have the root privileges for this.

Firstly you have to login to WHM and navigate to Home then go to Security Center after that look for the Manage Root’s SSH Keys

Then follow the steps as given below:

1. Click on the Import Key

2. In the first field enter some Name for this key

3. Then in the corresponding field paste the public key

4. Click on Import

The fields for Password and Private Key which are not required also present there.

In the next step for the root user you have to authorize this key . So as to try to do this, return to the current option – Manage root’s SSH keys then click on the Manage Authorization choice.

Finally you have to click on the Authorize button. After this, you’ll be able to login to your server as root with the help of this key.
