Configuring and Installing PhpBB

phpBB is named once the term PHP Bulletin board. it’s a preferred and free forum package coded and developed in PHP scripting language. it’s obtainable under the GNU General Public License, and it’s open source free software. How to Install phpBB from Fantastico :

  • You have To launched Fantastico application to install phpBB from your cPanel.
  • On left side in discussion board section you will see link to install phpBB.
  • Click the Link and it willl redirect you to the phpBB section and you’ll see phpBB installation screen. Please browse all the information written on the page to know the easiness in phpBB.
  • Click on the Installation directory and enter the name of the directory in which you wish to install or you can leave this field blank for installation in the root directory.
  • Please enter your admin access data once you done with that by entering Admin name and password in the mentioned textboxes.
  • By providing a name, enter your site name and short description. To get the details you have to enter Admin email address.
  • Once you have filled all the information press on the Install phpBB and confirm finish Installation by clicking on it.
  • The installation of the PhpBB is successfull and is ready to configuring it.
  • To login into your new installation please click on the directory path link.
  • To enter in to the phpBB bulletin broad use your administrator login details . Your new installation has been listed and you’ll see a link to go to script’s home page otherwise you can remove it by clicking on Remove.
