Step 2: Click on Start >> Server Manager. This will open up the Server Manager Console, from left side panel of your server manager console click on the “Roles”.

Step 3: After that click on the “Add Role” and these will show you the “Add Roles Wizard” . Simply, press the “Next” button

Once you press the “Next” button the “Server Roles” window will get open.

Step 4: From that you have to select the “DNS Server” by ticking the check box in-front of it and click the Next button.

Here you will get an overview page of a DNS Server where you will see short introduction to the DNS Server.

Step 5: Click the “Next” button after you finish reading it. Once you clickt the next button, the Confirmation page of installation will get appear.

Step 6: Press the Install button to start the DNS Server installation process. The Progress window showing initializing installation will seem once you click the install button.

After a while you’ll get the Installation Results window conveying a message “Installation Succeeded”.(See image below)

Step 7: Lastly, click the “Close” button to escape from the installation window.
