In this tutorial we will guide you with adding and deleting CNAME records in WHM<\/p>\n

Firstly lets see the steps to add CNAME in WHM:<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Login to your\u00a0WHM<\/strong>\u00a0account.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Click on the\u00a0Edit DNS Zone<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a0DNS Functions<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Click the domain for which you want to create the\u00a0CNAME<\/strong>\u00a0and then click the\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Go to the bottom and find the section\u00a0Add New Entries Below this Line<\/strong>. Click the\u00a0Select<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down menu and select\u00a0CNAME<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Enter your\u00a0CNAME<\/strong>\u00a0in the first field. In the image below, we are using\u00a0test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/strong>\u00a0Next, enter your\u00a0Hostname<\/strong>\u00a0in the field besides the dropdown menu and then click the\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0button. Here, we are using the host name as\u00a0example.com<\/strong>. The\u00a0TTL<\/strong>\u00a0section will be automatically filled.<\/p>\n

Thus by following above simple steps you can add a CNAME record in WHM.<\/p>\n

.Following are the steps to Delete a CNAME Record in WHM.<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Login to your\u00a0WHM<\/strong>\u00a0account.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Click on the\u00a0Edit DNS Zone<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a0DNS Functions<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Click the domain for which you want to create the CNAME and then click the\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Find the CNAME record you want to delete. You will need to delete the text records for that particular domain.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Go to the record selector dropdown menu change the record type from\u00a0CNAME<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0Select<\/strong>\u00a0for the domain you have deleted the text records.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/strong>\u00a0This will remove the record type from the screen as below:<\/p>\n
