{"id":247,"date":"2021-06-22T12:37:18","date_gmt":"2021-06-22T12:37:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ownwebservers.com\/kb\/?p=247"},"modified":"2021-06-24T09:10:09","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T09:10:09","slug":"how-to-fix-the-hyper-v-launch-failed-error","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ownwebservers.com\/kb\/how-to-fix-the-hyper-v-launch-failed-error\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Fix the Hyper-V Launch Failed Error ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While Installing Hyper-V Role on Windows Server 2008\u00a0if the BIOS setting are not done properly it might give you the following errors when you restart the server.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>First Error :<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hyper-V launch failed; For any VMX is not present or not allow in BIOS.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Second Error :<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hyper-V launch failed; at least one of the processors in the system does not appear to provide a virtualization platform supported by Hyper-V.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to avoid such errors or fix the Hyper-V launch failed error, go through the following steps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Restart the Windows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ownwebservers.com\/dedicated-hosting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dedicated Server<\/a>\u00a02008 and Login into the BIOS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Go to Advanced &gt;&gt; Advanced Processor Options. You will see something like the below image on your computer screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: Make sure the \u201cIntel(R) Virtualization Technology\u201d or \u201cIntel VT\u201d is Enabled in the BIOS settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong>: Once the Virtualization Technology is Enabled, simply reboot the server.<\/p>\n<p>Once done you have to reboot the server the Hyper-V will start successfully.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Installing Hyper-V Role on Windows Server 2008\u00a0if the BIOS setting are not done properly it might give you the following errors when you restart the server.
