This article can justify a way to install an SSL certificate for your domain using Plesk.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> Before continuing with these directions you may have to purchased an SSL certificate for your web site from your web host or another merchant. If you still have to be compelled to do this, you’ll be able to purchase one here.<\/p>\n

To install the SSL certificate in Plesk follow the steps as instructed below.<\/p>\n

1. Log into your Plesk<\/strong> account uisng login details.<\/p>\n

2. Click on Domains present in the left-hand side panel and then choose the domain you want to install the SSL certificate<\/strong> for.<\/p>\n

3. After that the domain\u2019s management screen will get opens, you will find the SSL\/TLS Certificates<\/strong> icon click on it.<\/p>\n

4. Once the SSL\/TLS Certificates page opens, you may see an choice to upload a .pem SSL certificate<\/strong> file present in the right-hand column. If your SSL certificate is having some different format in that case, find for the Advanced Settings<\/strong> icon and click on it.<\/p>\n

5. Under Advanced Settings, there’s a range of choices you’ll be able to select from for installing differing types of SSL Certificate.<\/p>\n

6. If you created a Certificate Signing Request<\/strong> (CSR) using Plesk and have received the certificate file, you’ll be able to upload it here. Locate the .crt<\/strong> file on your pc using the Choose for File<\/strong> option then click on Upload Certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: To come up with a CSR using Plesk, navigate to Domains<\/strong> choose the domain you wish to feature the certificate for then click on SSL Certificates<\/strong>. Here, fill within the needed fields and click on Request<\/strong>. As the CSR certificates are self-signed and not valid for checks.<\/p>\n

7. If you want to upload an SSL certificate and private key pair that were generated on a special server, or if you want to generate a self-signed certificate, click Add SSL\/TLS Certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

8. As you open the Add SSL\/TLS Certificate<\/strong> screen that offers many options for installing an SSL Certificate.<\/p>\n

9. The section which is present on the top permits you to generate for a certificate, to buy for a certificate from your web host or to come up with a self-signed certificate through Plesk. Fill within the needed details and click on the required choice (Request\/Buy\/Self-Signed) at the bottom.<\/p>\n

10. The Upload the certificate files<\/strong> section permits you to upload certificates and private keys. Here click option for file to pick the files you want to upload.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: If the certificate and private key components of your certificate are contained in a *.pem file, choose a similar file for each because the private key and the certificate choices. Once it get done, click Upload Certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

11. It also has an option to upload your SSL certificate<\/strong> as text.<\/p>\n

12. If your SSL certificate is uploaded as a text, scroll to the Upload the certificate as text<\/strong> section. Here you’ll be able to copy and paste the certificate and therefore the private key texts into the corresponding fields. Once get done successfully, click upload Certificate.<\/p>\n

13. Once your certificate has been created, navigate to Domains<\/strong>, select for the domain you’re installing the certificate for and click on Hosting Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

14. Underneath Hosting Settings, find the Security<\/strong> section and check the SSL\/TSL<\/strong> support<\/strong> box. Below, you may find the Certificate<\/strong> dropdown box. choose your certificate from the dropdown box and click on OK<\/strong>.
