    Following are the steps that show how to change file permissions in cPanel<\/p>\n

    1. Log in to cPanel<\/strong> using username and password.<\/p>\n

    2. Go to the Files<\/strong> section and then click on the File Manager<\/strong> icon.<\/p>\n

    3. In File Manager, find the folder or file whose permission<\/strong> you want to change.<\/p>\n

    4. Next, choose the file or folder<\/strong> you wish to change by clicking its name. Once it’s highlighted in blue, click the Permissions<\/strong> button (with the key icon) in File Manager\u2019s from the top menu.<\/p>\n

    7. Check or uncheck<\/strong> the required boxes, to change permissions. After you do that, the permission value numbers at the bottom get’ s automatically update.<\/p>\n

    8. Once you have done with your changes, click on the Change Permissions<\/strong> button to save the new permission settings.<\/p>\n
