Ans.<\/strong> Follow these steps in cPanel, To password protect a folder\/directory :<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Login to your control panel using your account username\/password at\u00a0http:\/\/yourdomain.com\/cpanel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Click on \u201cPassword Protection<\/strong>\u201d under Services<\/p>\n

Step\u00a03:<\/strong>\u00a0Browse to the folder in\u00a0which you want to\u00a0restrict access<\/p>\n

Step\u00a04:<\/strong>\u00a0Click on the name of the folder<\/p>\n

Step\u00a05:<\/strong>\u00a0It will present you with\u00a0a form. It has two parts and you have to submit them both separately:<\/p>\n

a) Enable access only to authorized users<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[ ] Directory requires a password to access
\nCheck the above box.
\nand Protected Resource Name: [ ] (enter a generic name of the protection such as \u201cMy Protected Folder\u201d)<\/p>\n

Submit and it will protect it.<\/p>\n

Now step (b) for adding username\/password. Browse to the same form and<\/p>\n
