{"id":1193,"date":"2021-08-04T12:06:04","date_gmt":"2021-08-04T12:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ownwebservers.com\/kb\/?p=1193"},"modified":"2021-08-04T12:06:04","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T12:06:04","slug":"creating-volumes-in-r1softs-cdp-3-0-enterprise-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ownwebservers.com\/kb\/creating-volumes-in-r1softs-cdp-3-0-enterprise-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating Volumes in R1Soft\u2019s CDP 3.0 Enterprise Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this article , you can see how to create volumes in R1Soft\u2019s CDP3 Enterprise Edition.<\/p>\n<p>We suppose that you have connected to the CDP 3.0 server and logged in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong> In the Dashboard menu, click on \u201cVolumes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0Now, click on \u201cCreate New Volume\u201d in the Volumes menu located at top left pane.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Step 3:\u00a0<\/strong> Once you click on \u201cCreate New Volume\u201d a popup window will open:<\/p>\n<p><strong> Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0 Enter the following settings:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Identification options:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Name<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Enter a name for the volume to identity it while assigning a volume to a disk safe.<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Enter a description for the volume.<br \/>\n<strong>Volume Path<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Enter a new or existing folder path to place the assigned disk safes in this folder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quotas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Quota Type<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Select \u201cOn Disk Size\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Soft Quota\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Enter a minus 2 figure of your backup plan size. For example: if a client purchased 20GB backup space, then enter Soft Quota 18GB.<br \/>\n<strong>Hard Quota<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Backup place size<\/p>\n<p><strong>Groups: <\/strong>Here you can assign a group(s) to the volume. Select a group from the drop-down menu and hit the \u201cAdd\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Users: <\/strong>Here you can assign user(s) to the volume. Select a user from the drop-down menu and hit the \u201cAdd\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5<\/strong>: Once you are done with the Volume settings, click on the\u00a0 \u201cCreate\u201d button at the bottom of the window to create a new volume to the system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6<\/strong>: If the folder doesn\u2019t exist, it will come up with a notification window. You will need to confirm your request by clicking on the \u201cOK\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7<\/strong>: When you click on the \u201cOK\u201d button, after a few moments you will be informed by a notification window, if the Volume is created successfully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 8<\/strong>: Hit the \u201cOK\u201d button on the notification window and the Volume will appear in the \u201cVolumes\u201d list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this article , you can see how to create volumes in R1Soft\u2019s CDP3 Enterprise Edition.
